Although I was awake, I decided to remain on bed with my eyes closed until she was awake. She turned sideward and sat on the bed. After a slight yawn, she stretched her body and poked me. “Jade, it’s morning,” she said.

She moved more closely to feel my breath. When I noticed she was bringing her head closer to my nostrils, I seized my breath and made my body rigid as well. She started panting like an athlete, and her heart raised pit-a-pat.
